Visit from Aunt Becca

Violet's Aunt Becca (my sister) visited a couple of weeks ago. I recently got a bunch of pictures emailed to me from the proud aunt. Here are my favorites.

Fuzzi-Bunned

Thanks for the happy birthday wishes everybody. I had a great one!

The picture above was taken awhile ago but thought it was too cute not to share.

So today was day one in cloth-diapering Violet. We're using Fuzzi Bunz which is a cloth diaper brand that I have heard a lot of great things about, namely no pins or rubber pants or no need to rinse, dunk, or swirl. These aren't my mother's cloth diapers!

There are many different reasons why people decide to use cloth diapers. I've heard folks do it to save money, because it's better for the environment, good for diaper rash, or because they help with toilet training. I'm doing it for environmental reasons (Ben thinks the whole thing is crazy) and if we end up saving a few bucks, that'd be great too! We don't have a clothesline up yet so I used the dryer to dry them today. It took over an hour for the recommended "low heat" setting. That can't be so good for the environment! Hmm.

Weekend in Atlanta

As Violet is getting more and more mobile, it is getting increasingly harder to get a good picture of her. Here is a series I'd like to call "Catch me if you can".

We were in Atlanta this weekend visiting Ben's parents. They had what I think they called a "stop by and see" party for Violet. She was certainly our little celebrity... cameras were snapping left and right! There seemed to be a revolving door ushering Violet admirers in and out for three solid hours. Violet seemed to enjoy meeting so many new friends. We really appreciate Ben's parents for throwing the party!

Happy Birthday Liam!

Sorry it has been so long since the last post. We seemed to have so much more time in Taiwan! Lots to "report" but not much time to do it now. Here is a cute photo of Violet getting a smooch from her friend Liam, who happens to be turning 3 today! Happy birthday buddy!
